2021 Mid-America Cable Show: Policies

The Mid-America Cable show planning committee would like to acknowledge the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic and recommendations for those planning on attending the show. The Douglas County Health Department (Omaha) vaccination rate is currently at 53.3% and the current transmission risk level for the county is high. The MACS will be encouraging all attendees to follow the CDC guidelines for events of this size and type.

These large gathering event guidelines include:

  1. Wear a mask

  2. Stay at least 6 feet away from people who do not live with you

  3. Avoid crowded, poorly ventilated indoor spaces

  4. Get Vaccinated

If you are fully vaccinated, you can participate in many of the activities that you did before the pandemic. To maximize protection from the Delta variant and prevent possibly spreading it to others, wear a mask indoors in public if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission.

If you haven’t been vaccinated yet, click this link to find a vaccine.

Travel may increase your chance of spreading and getting COVID-19. CDC recommends delaying travel until you are able to get fully vaccinated. If you travel, you should still take steps to protect yourself and others. You will still be required to wear a mask on public transportation. If you are considering traveling for a large gathering, visit CDC’s Domestic Travel page to help you decide what is best for you and your family.
