MACTA announces 2023 Wendall Woody Pathfinder Awards
Cable industry veterans Bill McCall, Judy Meyka and Andy Parrott were recently named as the 2023 recipients of the Wendell Woody Pathfinder award and will be recognized at the Mid-America Cable Show in Arlington, Texas, on Thursday, April 4.
Established in 1997, the award recognizes an elite group of professionals who have worked in the cable industry for at least 20 years and whose contributions have had significant impact. New members must be nominated by a Pathfinder from a different company and be endorsed by a Pathfinder not associated with their company.
McCall worked for 8 years on the cable operator side of the business at First Carolina Communication and C4 Media Cable. He then served at INSP for 25 years serving as Regional Vice President of Affiliate Sales.

Judy Meyka
Meyka leads NCTC programming negotiations, advocating on behalf of NCTC members with major content providers. She is focused on video content acquisition agreements across multiple formats and platforms for more than 700 independent video distributors. Before joining NCTC in 2012, Judy served in key programming leadership roles including Senior Vice President, Programming for Adelphia Communications, Inc., Senior Vice President, Distribution for iNDemand, and Vice President, Programming for AT&T Broadband and MediaOne. Earlier this year Judy was selected as one of CableFaxes Most Powerful Women.
Parrott began as a Cable installer and worked his way up to President and COO of Vyve Broadband. He was also the SCTE Chairman of The Learning & Development Committee, Hall of Fame Inductee, Cable TV Pioneers Inductee, SCTE Circle of Eagles Inductee, received the Excellence in Learning & Development Award, The Chairman's Award, and a 2023 Cablefax 100 Top Honoree. Earlier in his career, Multichannel News selected him as one of the Top 40 Executives Under 40.
